L'Assiette Champenoise also known as Château de la Muire, is a family run hotel in Tinqueux; a suburb of Reims, located just over a mile away from the city centre. It is a modestly priced 4* hotel and offers a range of excellent facilities for guests. In particular, its restaurant is one of the best in North East France and boasts 2 Michelin stars. The chef is the renowned Arnaud Lallement. Recently refurbished in an art-deco style, the hotel's ambiance oozes luxury and immaculate class.
The hotel sits in a suburban location, just a few minutes drive from the Centre of Reims. We recommend this hotel particularly for people who are seeking a more peaceful getaway. The 19th Century, half timbered house, set in 4 acres of parkland is an ideal tranquil setting.
It offers all of the facilities you would expect from this grade of accommodation. An indoor swimming pool and sauna complement the relaxing atmosphere. The newly refurbished bar is delightful, with an impressive wine list notable for its range and quality and including Krug by the glass. The bar leads out onto a quaint terrace overlooking the grounds. The icing on the cake is the restaurant, boasting two Michelin stars awarded for the gastronomic inventiveness of Arnaud Lallement. We strongly recommend that those wishing to dine in the restaurant book in advance, as even residents at the hotel will not necessarily get a table for dinner without pre-booking. The restaurant is closed on Tuesdays and Wednesday lunchtimes.

For 2011, L'Assiette Champenoise will offer three general room categories; Tradition rooms; Deluxe rooms with a walk-in wardrobe and spacious bathroom and a new range of Suites, some of which will have a balcony or terrace. The rooms are all carefully decorated and the suites are all being converted during winter 2010 (each suite being created from 2 previous rooms). Each room has an en-suite bathroom, separate toilet, minibar, television and telephone.
