The History of Champagne

There are lots of myths and legends surrounding the history of Champagne. After all, it is the king of wines, and the wine of Kings. The biggest myth is that there was a chap called Dom Perignon who invented it. The quote "Come quickly - I am drinking stars" was attributed to him. In fact, that quote was written for advertising nearly a century after his death!
