Champagne Tasting Tours
We run five types of Champagne Tasting Weekends (Deluxe, Prestige, Harvest, Meet the Maker and Adventure) as well as a Superlative Champagne Tour to the most prestigious Champagne Houses and four flexible tours – the Standard and Standard Plus Champagne Breaks, Budget Champagne and the Château Break.
All of our Champagne tasting tours are designed with flexibility in mind. Each package includes return Eurotunnel crossings between Folkestone and Calais, however you can choose your preferred travel method (drive, train or fly), what grade of accommodation you would like, and how long you wish to stay etc..
Prestige Champagne Weekend
Our Prestige Champagne Weekend continues to be the most popular tour that we operate and is a lynchpin of our program in Champagne. This tour combines the best of the larger and smaller Champagne Houses with the opportunity to enjoy a gourmet four course lunch accompanied by fine wines.
Deluxe Champagne Weekend
For those who enjoy the finer things in life, we are pleased to offer our Deluxe Champagne Weekend. This tour offers you the opportunity to taste the best Champagnes of each House. Guests will enjoy not only La Grande Dame at Veuve Clicquot, but also a private tour at Moët and Chandon to sample their iconic Dom Perignon Champagne.
Meet the Maker Champagne Weekend
The focus of the Meet the Maker Tour is to sample the widest variety of Champagnes, created by smaller family-run Houses. It will include the opportunity to dine at one of these small Champagne Houses as the guests of the estate and taste their Champagnes during lunch. Guests will meet some of the personalities who create the great wines and make our tours so special.
Adventure Champagne Weekend
For guests who are looking for something unusual and very memorable in Champagne, we are pleased to offer our unique Adventure Tour. With the opportunity to abseil 100 feet into a Champagne cellar, followed by the opportunity to learn the Napoleonic art of Sabrage, this tour is fondly remembered by past clients.
Harvest Weekend
The Harvest Weekend offers the ultimate opportunity to truly understand the whole Champagne-making process from first principles. We are delighted to work with a family run, Grand Cru Champagne House to offer our guests the opportunity to get their hands dirty in the vineyard during the ‘vendanges’.
Château Break
The Chateau Breaks are available both mid-week and weekends throughout the year. These relaxing and romantic gourmet getaways are also ideal birthday and anniversary gifts.
Budget Champagne Tour
The Budget Basic Champagne Tour is the tour for those on a very tight budget. However, in common with all Grape Escapes tours, we don’t skimp on quality just because it is inexpensive.
Standard Champagne Break
For those looking for a mid week or weekend Champagne tour with a good introduction to the various tastes and styles of Champagne available, the Standard Champagne Tour may be the answer.
Standard Plus Champagne Break
The Standard Plus Champagne Break is the perfect flexible package for those who would like to upgrade the Standard Champagne Break, with an extra night and a private Dom Perignon visit at Moët and Chandon included.
